Came upon this fantastic setting and... read more Des Goldrick and his team couldn't have been more friendly in helping us choose some of their beers for a last minute Christmas gift. Wow! this is a gem, full with people all cosy in front of huge welcoming stove fires, the pizzas and beers looked fantastic. With a huge outdoor covered area we'll definitely be back to sample some of the beers and food on offer - can't believe we didn't know about this. We had 3 vegans in our group and had realised there were no dairy free options for the pizzas but had contacted them in advance and they were very happy for us to take our own vegan cheese.

We had pizzas, chips, wine and some of their home brewed lager.

Everything came out quickly, the food was hot and really delicious and the drinks (although a little expensive) were great too. Their lager was one of the best we've tasted.

Really friendly and helpful waiting staff.

The surroundings are beautiful, wooden tables around a centre wood fired oven with the brewery off to one side and a babbling brook off to the other.

There are seats inside and out so whatever the Irish weather throws at you you'll be very comfortable.

Des (the owner) was a dream to work with, he was always quick to respond to any queries and definitely knew his stuff. On our big day, Des & his staff really went above and beyond for ourselves and our guests, we really couldn’t have wished for more...their hospitality is second to none with our guests even commenting on how well it was run. The whole day flowed and went without any problems - honestly can’t thank them enough especially in these unprecedented times!

The venue itself is amazing, it is rustic and full of charm with beautiful grounds providing the perfect backdrop for photos (it even comes with a working mill). Any bride and groom looking for a laid back/non-traditional wedding then look no further, this is the place for you!
